We’re all in the gutter………..
“One thing is clear: Elites are not in control any more. Neither the fact that 9 out of 10 economists argued for Britain to stay, nor the fact that 9 out of 10 celebrities were cheerleaders of the Remain camp, swayed the people.
We can now easily open ourselves to the realization that our convictions trump anything else. Following the wild call of the heart and incidentally fight the spirit of brotherhood is a very romantic notion, something the Britons have in its continental form always resisted.
Have not religion and democracy clearly demonstrated the transional obvious? That we are free men, unbound by this plane, unfettered and bound for the stars!
Well, at least some of us are looking up at them!

The Brits were always very slow to adapt. But the point here is general: if the future looks “unrelentingly gloomy” nothing could be worse.
